Weekend Recap – Three Maidens Broken

We had an incredibly exciting weekend – 3 wins at Churchill Downs for team Sagamore and trainer Stanley Hough! We are so proud of our boys and everyone that works so hard for Sagamore!

“I am just so proud of our team, our horses and our people. We have a group of people committed to the best possible care for our horses and they are persistent in that effort every day. From the farm to the racetrack, our team pulls together and works for the good of Sagamore. And thankfully, that hard work rewarded us this weekend.” – President of Sagamore Racing, Hunter Rankin

3YO Sagamore homebreds Grit and Glory (Malibu Moon – On Demand) & The Rock Says (Uncle Mo – Hit Squad) broke their maidens on Sunday, May 26 at Churchill Downs!  We love sharing The Rock Says’ win with our partners at Nexus Racing Club!

Having 9 members cheer on Rocky in the pouring rain as he came down the stretch fending off horses is a moment Nexus will never forget as we celebrated our first Churchill Downs win. We are so happy for Team Sagamore’s big weekend and are honored to be a part of The Rock Says. Nexus Racing Club Founder, Sam Bussanich
