Glyndon, Md. – After a successful 2014 season highlighted by a victory in the Grade 3 Maryland Sprint Handicap on Preakness Day, Sagamore Racing and Mel Paikoff’s Happy My Way will be honored at the 55th Annual FTBOA Florida Champions Awards Gala on March 16 at the Circle Square Cultural Center in Ocala, Florida. The event celebrates the 2014 Florida Horse of the Year and Florida-bred champions, their breeders, owners and trainers. Happy My Way, by Wilko, out of Holy Queen, by Holy Bull, will be awarded with the 2014 Florida-Bred Champion Male Sprint and Florida-Bred Champion Older Male awards. Trained by Joe Orseno and ridden by Joe Bravo, Happy My Way went 7-3-3-0 in 2014 with $371,667 in total earnings.
